Abstract:
The family is the first social institution in which the child becomes a member, and the mother and
father play the role of his educators. According to the findings, there is a great contrast between
the social values of home and school, and it shows that the conflict of values and lack of harmony
between the student and the home or school does not end for the benefit of the other, but causes
the students to turn away from home and school. It also comes from school. Therefore, the
interaction between home and school can be considered as one of the most effective and important
ways to reduce the conflict between the two, with a deep and practical attitude. As you know, the
duty of parents is not limited to taking care of the child and they must also prepare him to enter a
larger society. The relationship between school and parents is like the relationship between body
and soul, the activity of each without the other is incomplete and has no meaning. After the teacher
and the school enter the child's educational circle, each of the two centers of the home and the
school should be considered as an educational institution that has coordinated and aligned
activities. The purpose of the current research was to examine the barriers of interaction between
home and school, its challenges and solutions to improve the problems. In this research, which
was carried out by the library method and based on theoretical and experimental evidence, it was
argued with the inspiration of theoretical and experimental discussions that the barriers of
interaction between home and school are influenced by several barriers, at the level of structure
and factors. Lack of stimulating situations, lack of trust, lack of social network, not receiving
persuasive messages about cooperation, rapid changes in curriculum and education, the structure
of the country's education system, and the lack of proper advertising by public media in promoting
the culture of participation in schools, as barriers to interaction between home and School at the
level of structure, and a superficial attitude towards the association of parents and teachers,
experience of participation in social activities, generalist orientations, parents' lack of knowledge
about the goals and functions of the school, and parents' lack of knowledge and their inability to
adapt to the programs, lack of time for parents, being employed They, staying away from children
and being involved in daily chores, poor economic status of families, parents' ignorance of the
consequences, possible results and benefits of participating in schools as barriers to home-school
interaction at the agent level affect home-school interaction.
